About

I grew up in Michigan spending my summers fishing with my three brothers and helping renovate our cabin at the lake. In 2011 I moved to Texas where I began studying interior design, coaching a women’s high school lacrosse team, and discovered how mountain biking and backpacking enabled me to get further into the backcountry. In 2012 I started my career as a Visual Merchandiser for The North Face, which integrated my passion for design and the outdoors. While at The North Face I worked with the property management firm to develop a recycling program and created a system for storing and reusing shipping materials. My husband Josh, our dogs Porter and Jameson, and I spent our weekends for the next four years traveling to mountain bike races, dirtbagging from Colorado to Tennessee.

In 2016, Josh accepted a job as a remote paramedic in Alaska so we packed up the Tacoma and moved to Seattle. Josh grew up in Seattle and I was easily drawn to the Pacific Northwest. Soon after the move I began my career with Patagonia. I also started an Environmental Technologies and Sustainable Practices degree program, and have brought what I’ve learned to Patagonia by creating annual sustainability initiatives for the Seattle market.

To gain a hands-on experience in the sustainability field, I decided to become more involved in Homegrown Trailers, which was founded by Josh and three of his childhood friends. We built a company that seeks to continually improve the traditional RV experience by creating a travel trailer using eco friendly materials such as wool and responsibly sourced timber that is entirely run on solar power.

In my free time I started Basecamp Graphics, a vinyl graphics/sticker company to fund our bicycle habit. Basecamp Graphics has become not only a creative outlet, but also a way to give back to the community. As a member of 1% For The Planet, Basecamp Graphics supports environmental and youth nonprofits with product donations, time, and proceeds from sales. I work with a wide array of clients from Jackson Hole Ski Resort, SR3, a marine wildlife rescue group, to New England Development, a developmental youth cycling program in Boston.
